This year marks the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation. To commemorate this monumental anniversary, we are doing a series exploring the five key points of the Reformation, known as the “Solas,” from the Latin meaning, “only” or “alone.”

In light of the upcoming 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation, we are examining the five solas. The first is Sola Scriptura, or Scripture Alone. This doctrine means that we are unable to say anything about God that is not affirmed by Scripture, since it is through Scripture that God has chosen to reveal truths about his nature.

How is a person able to be saved? This question, which drove much of the spirit of the Protestant Reformation, is the focus of Pastor Evan’s message on the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation.
