There comes a time when we must speak and cannot only believe something in our heart. In this sermon on Roman 10:5-15, Pastor Evan first examines the insufficiency of the law in favor of faith and then uses Paul’s exhortation that salvation comes from both believing in your heart and speaking with your mouth to interpret the white supremacy protests that took place in Charlottesville on August 12th. As people of faith, we cannot simply believe in our hearts and allow our silence to be viewed as implicit approval of racism. There comes a time to speak, and that time is now.
