Welcome to our online worship for Sunday, March 21st. We’re so happy you’ve chosen to worship with us either live at 10:30 a.m. or at a time of your later convenience. A history teacher of mine from high school used to say, “War makes strange bedfellows.” The idea being that a common enemy has a way of uniting people who otherwise would not unite. In a similar way, before dealing with Jesus, Pilate and Herod had been enemies, but after dealing with this common problem, they became friends. The point of this story though is the perversion of justice because two men chose to do the easy thing over the right thing. Such can be tempting for us as well. Often, in fact, we seek to become strange bedfellows with other political or civic factions in order to advance our own causes, but in so doing, are we compromising on our character?
