We’re so happy you’ve chosen to worship with us either live at 10:30 a.m. or at a time of your later convenience.  Jesus tells Peter that if anyone wants to be his disciple, he should deny himself, take up his cross, and follow after Jesus.  This passage shows that to be a follower of Jesus is, ultimately, a call to death – a death of one’s will, one’s desires, and one’s comforts, in order to follow after Jesus, so that Jesus may be elevated above every other thing in this world.  In this message Pastor Evan explores this cost of discipleship and grace, while pondering our own roles in it.
